Easing Out of Lockdown
As the coronavirus lockdown continues to ease, many people are still very apprehensive about face-to-face contact, especially if you’re vulnerable or live with someone who is.
Caution and trust are becoming increasingly important during the pandemic. Many non-essential shops reopened recently but many haven’t experienced large footfall due to shoppers being wary of non-essential activities. And as global Google Trends have indicated, this caution is replicated in the wider public for situations where face-to-face contact is likely or necessary.
Having trust in businesses to make their premises Covid-19 safe and other people to follow the guidance on social distancing and face masks is a large part of this.
Accessing services online where possible was originally a necessity due to the lockdown but looks set to still be very popular now that measures are being relaxed.
A lot of this is due to anxiety since there’s so much we still don’t know about Covid-19 or how much impact mitigating factors such as face masks have in helping to stop the spread of the virus.
For many people, online services are a far safer option, especially if you’d have to travel on public transport to access face-to-face sessions.
As a Solution Focused Hypnotherapist, I’m grateful that I’ve been able to easily switch my services to offering online/remote sessions to clients. I was successfully delivering online sessions to some clients before the pandemic but online hypnotherapy has quickly become the easiest and safest way to support all of my clients.
For clients who are anxious about accessing face-to-face services, online hypnotherapy allows them to continue to work with me or to get support for the first time for issues that have come to the fore during the lockdown. This is very reassuring for anyone that is shielding due to health concerns or wary about using public transport during the pandemic.
At a time when many people are struggling with their mental health (often for the very first time), online sessions can be crucial for coping.
I’m getting fantastic feedback from clients for online sessions. This is a new area for many of them but they’re pleasantly surprised that it has the same benefits as face-to-face hypnotherapy.
Engaging in sessions from the comfort of your own home is highly relaxing, especially for anyone suffering from anxiety. You can schedule sessions at a time that works for you, which makes it easier to find a quiet place free from distractions. Feeling comfortable and fully engaged in online sessions helps you to get the most from them.
I’m still available to support you with anything you’re struggling with. Email me at sam@samluxfordhypnotherapy.com or call/message on 07867 936505 to talk about how online hypnotherapy can help you to start making changes in your life.
